WORKSHOP: "Resilient Control of Infrastructure Networks"
September 24-27, 2019 - Politecnico di Torino
Department of Mathematical Sciences - MIUR Excellence Project 2018 - 2022
As critical infrastructure systems -such as transport and energy networks- face loads of increasing magnitude and variability, achieving efficiency and reliability has become a key challenge. While designed to perform well under normal operation conditions, such complex systems tend to exhibit critical fragilities in response to unforeseen disruptions. One of the greatest current challenges for the mathematical theory of control systems is to create solid scientific foundations and computationally efficient methodologies for the analysis of the design of resilient network systems. This workshop aims at gathering leading researchers to present state of the art and the main open problems in the field.
This event is part of the thematic semester on Network Dynamics and Resilience.
